Jim Farell

Senior Director of Displays, Optics and Mechnical Engineering
Jim Farell leads the groups responsible for all display, optics and mechanical engineering and user experience at Visteon worldwide. Jim’s more than three decades in the auto industry began as a General Motors co-op student and plant engineer at the former Willow Run Assembly Plant in southeastern Michigan. Over his 25 years at Ford and Visteon, Jim has managed teams delivering a diverse portfolio of products including instrument clusters, body electronics and modules, audio head units, displays and powertrain control modules. Jim has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the GMI Engineering and Management Institute with a minor in optics. He also has a master’s in electrical engineering from Stanford University, with a concentration in quantum electronics.
