Mithran Menon is a Research and Innovation Project Manager for Valeo North America, located at the Valeo Mobility Tech Center in San Mateo, California. He is responsible for managing research and innovation projects for interior advanced development and accompanying technologies for autonomous driving, with a focus on interiors. His areas of interest include driver monitoring systems, interior cameras, head up displays and gesture detection.
Prior to joining Valeo in 2016, Mr. Menon worked for two Tier 1 Automotive suppliers in the Metro Detroit area, specializing in automotive interiors and system engineering for electromechanical systems.
Since April 2015, Mr. Menon is a registered Project Management Professional, an internationally recognized professional designation offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Mr. Menon graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then obtained a Masters Degree in System Engineering with a concentration in automotive electronics and electrical systems from the University of Michigan, as well as an M.B.A from the University of Michigan, Dearborn.
