As UI designs play a critical role in enhancing UX and ensuring the accessibility, Ford evaluates its designs using Heuristic Evaluations to assess whether the system meets user needs and compare different approaches within the automotive domain. The aim is to have a consistent evaluation system with the exact same metrics to ensure fair and unbiased comparisons. They are carefully selected to measure aesthetics, accessibility, responsiveness, safety, and adaptability, among others. Assigning objective scores to individual metrics, enables an evaluation of each UI design and facilitates assisting stakeholders in making data-driven decisions.
