Driver Monitoring Systems have traditionally focused on safety by tracking drivers’ attention and fatigue. Emerging innovations are transforming DMS into dynamic, hands-free control interfaces that enable drivers to interact with vehicle systems through natural head and eye movements. This approach reduces distractions, enhances user experience, and allows adaptive vehicle behavior based on driver state. This presentation explores the potential of DMS as a peripheral “mouse” and control hub, highlighting technological challenges and future opportunities in seamless vehicle interaction.
