Ana Schmitz-Fuentes is Head of Production Smart Mobility and HR & Internal Communications Events. She joined we.CONECT Global Leaders GmbH in 2021.

James Rampton is a Lecturer III at the University of Michigan School of Information, where he teaches courses in UX, Interaction Design, Human Behavior in Design, and Automotive User Experience. He also serves on the Faculty Senate and the undergraduate curriculum committee, helping shape the future of design education. With over a decade of experience bridging academia and industry, James previously worked at General Motors, where he led product design for Ultifi, the company’s next-generation software platform. His work included developing frameworks for vehicle status, alerts, and 3D in-vehicle applications showcased by Cadillac at CES 2021. Prior to GM, he also consulted on user experience design at Michigan Medicine, contributing to applications, websites, and digital tools for both providers and patients. James brings a unique perspective that combines hands-on automotive UX design expertise with a passion for teaching the next generation of designers, particularly in preparing them for an AI-driven, multimodal, and context-aware future of human-machine interaction.
