Alexander Schmitt is Head of Speech Technology and is developing the next-generation of #HeyMercedes MBUX Voice Assistant with a team of data scientists, cloud developers and computational linguists. Before that he was project lead for Advanced Engineering of User Experiences working on next-generation UXs for Mercedes-Benz cars and Project Lead for Mercedes-Benz Car's Speech Dialog Systems introducing the first in-car Natural Language Understanding User Interfaces.
Alexander has more than 15 years of experience in the field of voice technology and spoken dialog systems in both, research and industry and is holding a PhD in Spoken Dialogue system technology.
