Chris Rockwell is CEO and founder of Lextant, an experience-centered consultancy dedicated to informing great design and inspiring companies to pursue it. For more than 20 years, Chris and his team have been using advanced research, design, and measurement approaches to fuel confident decision making, enterprise alignment, and market success.
Chris grew up with a passion to understand how the things we “make” affect how we work, live, and play. At the early age of 16, he was conducting research programs to explore technology design and driver behavior for pay-at-the-pump systems, steering controls, and infotainment systems. After completing his Masters in Human Factors Engineering at Virginia Tech., Chris joined Hewlett-Packard where he spent 6 years developing and honing user-centered design methodologies.
With a vision for experience-driven innovation, Chris formed Lextant leading the development of new methods for product, service, retail, and brand design programs for some of the world’s largest brands. Now in its 21st year, Chris and his team are shaping the future of autonomous, smart, and connected mobility experiences in partnership with clients like Honda, Ford, and FCA and is currently leading the design of Multi-Modal Trip Planning Applications for Columbus’ Smart City initiatives.
In 2019, Lextant was awarded human-centered design patents for its Desired Experience Modeling frameworks and its Experience Metrics platform that allows companies to identify, track and transform ideal brand experiences.
