Franziska Braun is research associate in the team for “Innovation Design” at the Fraunhofer Institute of Industrial Engineering.
Her work focuses on the value oriented design of innovative products and services.
She studied industrial and strategic design and is currently doing her PhD at the University of Stuttgart
on the issue of interdisciplinary development processes for radical innovative products.

We design technology for people so that it can be operated intuitively and comfortably. New technologies can digitalise processes, increase productivity and enrich our lives. They offer many opportunities for new products and attractive services. But ultimately, their success depends on how they are perceived and accepted by people. In our research, we work on solutions that enable efficient interaction between people and intelligent technology: at work, in the vehicle, at home or on the road. We design human-centred innovation processes and develop needs-based concepts for IT security.
