Germán León is the CXO and founder of GESTOOS
A startup that focuses on computer vision and human-technology interaction. Our software platform "Gestoos" represents a major breakthrough in gestural interaction and human behavior understanding, thanks to proprietary developments in machine learning and applied artificial intelligence.
Our vision is that spaces and devices will become intelligent to understand and anticipate people’s needs. Our mission is to put the "brains" (software) behind all those "eyes" (cameras) that surround us. And doing so while respecting people´s privacy and identity.
Prior to GESTOOS Germán was the European director at Oblong Europe, the company widely known for the interface of the movie "Minority Report" and since than has dedicated to be the leading provider of gesture-aware and multi-user, multi-device solutions.
At Oblong Barcelona he was in charge of the European market. Previews to Oblong Germán worked at Vodafone Group for multiple years. By joining the User Experience team at Vodafone Global, his work focuses on the design and prototype strategic visions that contributed to the company's business strategy. During that time, he served in the reformulation of mobile and Internet strategy.
Pop in my job! What motives me to wake up everyday and work in Gestoos is the fact that we are changing the way technology interacts with humans. Technology is taking a significant role in humans lives; Planes fly themselves; cars will drive themselves, and our homes are more and more connected learning every aspect of our lives. Unfortunately, machines, objects, and physical spaces cannot understand what they see. That is a huge problem that no one is solving and every day I get the choice to continue to build an "Artificial intelligence" that would allow cameras to understand human behavior using computer vision and interaction understanding.
In automotive I believe it's the next most important Platform. https://gestoos.com/2019/02/06/the-autonomous-car-race-why-car-companies-needs-to-speed-up/
