Design Group Manager – Voice and Sound UI, General Motors

Laura is the Design Group Manager for Conversational AI Experiences at General Motors, where she leads innovative efforts to enhance customer interactions through voice and sonic design. With over nine years at GM, her roles have included CX Conversation Design Lead and Lead Voice Interaction Designer, showcasing her expertise in human-machine interaction. Laura’s background includes linguistic data annotation for speech recognition software and academic roles in linguistics and modern languages. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer-Mediated Communication from the University of Haifa and a Master’s in Linguistics from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Her work bridges technology, design, and human connection.
